Frequently asked questions
How much do window paintings cost?
Window paintings are $8/sqft for images and $9/sqft for words and recreations (like logos).
How early should I schedule a painting?
As soon as possible! I ask for at least two weeks in advance- a rush fee of $50 will be added if it is needed in under two weeks.
For major holidays like Mardi Gras, Halloween, and Christmas, please let me know as soon as possible! I have people reserving painting dates for October 31 to paint for Christmas, so the sooner the better!
How long do window paintings last?
For external paintings, they will stay looking fresh and brand new for two months! After this time you may notice some slight fading in the color.
This is totally dependent on the sun exposure- if your windows are well shaded they can last much longer! Sportscards Louisiana have had their window paintings up for over two years and they still look new because they have low sun exposure and a wide overhang protecting the art!
How long does it take you to paint the windows?
The time is dependent on the size of the windows and the weather. If the painting is under 100 sqft, it will typically take one day if the weather is nice. Over 100sqft or if the painting is in multiple locations it can take multiple days, but I will let you know beforehand.
The other factor that can impact the painting time is the weather. It has to be below 70% humidity and above 40 degrees outside for the paint to cure properly.
Will you remove your window painting when we are finished with the season?
Removals are an additional charge of $0.50/sqft. If there is a replacement painting scheduled, the removal charge will be waived.
If I currently have someone else's artwork on my windows, will you remove their painting?
Yes, but that will be $2/sqft added charge to the window painting. Since I do not know how long their paint has been on the window or what kind of paint they used, it will be harder to remove than my own artwork.
